Ｊリーグが再開しますね。あ、J２J３は既に再開。今日2020/07/04、J１の熱い戦いを再び見ることができるようになります。
我らがサンフレッチェ広島も神戸とアウェイで対決。楽しみで仕方がない。
で、そうなんだけど、一つ、いや二つ、謝らなければならことがあります。
一つは、上副監督へ。もう一つは仙波社長へ。

城福監督、ごめんなさい。今年こそ優勝を目指しましょう

私は城福監督が就任してから、いやする前から、その実力を疑問視していました。その疑問は、90％当たっていたと言ってもよく、特に1年目に関しては、やはり城福監督では、サンフレッチェ広島の再生は無理だ、と確信を得ていました。（この辺りの記事、参照）（これも）（そしてこれも）
昨シーズンがスタートする時も、ほぼ、私の思いは変わらず。しかし、「あれ、城福監督が変わってきたぞ、戦い方も変わってきたぞ」と感じた時がありました。
間違いなく、昨シーズンの途中から城福監督は変わりました。
これ、もしかしてサンフレッチェ広島は上昇期に入ることができるんじゃないか、と感じたのです。
それが確信に変わったのは、この春、シーズン開幕直前に、極めて少人数の城福監督を囲む会があり、そこで監督に直接お話しを伺うことができた時です。
「1年目は、前半うまく行き過ぎた。あれはラッキーだった。しかし、あのまま（後で守ってパトリックを走らせそこに長いパスを出す）では勝てないとは思っていた。しかし、勝っていると変わることができない。わかっていたが、できなかった」とおっしゃいました。
正に指揮官の苦悩。
一昨年のシーズン、ラストゲームの札幌戦で前半2点を取られるも、馬渡と柴崎のゴールで同点に追いついて2位を確保した。
サッカーマスコミの間で、史上最も喜ばれない2位と評された準優勝です。

去年と同じでは勝てない、変わろう

昨シーズンを準備する段階で、監督は、変わらない、変われない恐ろしさを痛感した、とのこと。だから2019年シーズンは、「変わらないと、絶対ダメになる」と広島の目指すサッカーを改めて進化させることを決意し、さらには、若手を成長させることに目標を置いたそうです。
結果は勝ち点55の6位。しかし前年の2位より、チームの状態がいいのは誰の目にも明らかでした。

そして今年。さらに熟成したサンフレッチェ広島で一緒に戦いたい

今年の開幕前にこの記事にも書いたように、今年のサンフレッチェ広島は、他の17クラブと比較しても、最も熟成しているように思えます。
そしてもう一つ、今シーズンはサンフレッチェ広島に有利なところがあります。
それは、スケジュール。
押せ押せのスケジュールになってしまったので、体力勝負の要素が強くなってきています。今年は選手層が厚いところが優位。
サンフレッチェ広島は、昨年の城福監督の方針で新しいメンバーをどんどん起用して行ったので、若手がマジに活躍できる土壌ができているのです。そしてベテランも健在、外国人選手も充実。
ね、今年は優勝の可能性は高いと思うのです。（この記事、ぜひ）

今年こそ、みんなと、城福監督と、優勝を祝いたい。
